    Xiomara Alfaro empecipiar en revistes musicales nos años 50 y n'espectáculos de cabaré, actuó en Tropicana y realizó númberos espectáculos en diversos países del mundu, editó más de 28 discos, dalgunos cola collaboración de Bebo Valdés o Ernesto Duarte Brito, ente otros. El boleru «Siboney» d'Ernesto Lecuona foi bien popular na so voz y l'interpretación que más-y gustaba al autor. Casada col pianista panamiegu Rafael Benítez, quien foi'l so arreglista y direutor d'orquesta artísticu collaborando na grabación de los sos discos. Participó na película italiana Mambo con Silvana Mangano y Vittorio Gassman, dirixida por Robert Rossen en , según na cinta mexicana Yambaó (), xunto a les tamién cubanes Ninón Sevilla y Olga Guillot, dirixida por Alfredo B.
