    The Schedule

    In the morning, the President will welcome President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam to the White House.  The President welcomes the opportunity to discuss with President Sang how to further strengthen our partnership on regional strategic issues and enhance our cooperation with ASEAN.  The President also looks forward to discussing human rights, emerging challenges such as climate change, and the importance of completing a high standard Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the meeting.

    Later in the morning, the President will travel to Jacksonville, Florida. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at the Jacksonville International Airport are open press.

    While in Jacksonville, the President will tour and deliver remarks at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), where he will lay out his vision for rebuilding an economy that puts the middle class and those fighting to join it front and center.  The President’s remarks will continue a series of important speeches on the economy starting at Knox College in Galesburg, IL, and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.  The President’s tour of the Jacksonvi
