Marla Lukofsky is one of the pioneers of stand-up comedy in Canada. Best known for her signature piece 'The Wizard of Oz' in 3 minutes, she wowed the audiences mimicking all the voices, songs and sound effects with accuracy and speed in under 200 seconds. At the age of 16, she worked her way up the ranks of cabarets and nightclubs starting as a funny folksinger and eventually focusing on stand-up , becoming one of Canada's most popular headlining comedians on the circuit in the 70's, 80'S and 90's. The Toronto Star called Marla Lukofsky, "A captivating story teller with lightning-quick comic timing." The Globe and Mail called her, "A suave stylish comedian." Eye Magazine called her "The Mini Mistress of Mirth". Over the past 40 years Marla Lukofsky has performed her stand-up routine in every major city in Canada, the United States, England and Scotland. She also was the first female comic ever to headline at Yuk Yuk's in Bermuda. Lukofsky also represented Canada in the 'International Comedy Festival' and 'Mayfest Festival' in the UK.
