Career Summary
Jon Gruden was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1990 to 2021, finishing his career as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Over his twenty-two years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 191-161-1. During his career he was a head coach for fifteen seasons, first with the Oakland Raiders. He led the Raiders for four seasons, compiling a record of 38-26-0. His next head coaching stint was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002 to 2008, as he led the team to a 57-55-0 record. In 2002, the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl against the Oakland Raiders 48-21. He was fired from the Buccaneers on Friday, January 16, 2009. His third head coach placement began in 2018 with the Oakland Raiders. He coached them for four seasons and the team had a 29-36-0 record during his tenure. William Ernest Walsh (November 30, 1931 – July 30, 2007) was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons.
