    Author/Artist Bio

    Ellen Bryant Voigt has authored six collections of poetry: Shadow of Heaven; Kyrie, a finalist of the National Book Critics Circle Award; Two Trees; The Lotus Flowers; The Forces of Plenty; Claiming Kin; and The Flexible Lyric, a collection of literary essays on craft. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New Republic, and The Nation. She lives in Vermont, where she is currently Vermont State Poet and she also teaches in the low-residency MFA program for writers at Warren Wilson College.

    Four of Virginia's (and the nation's) most honored poets gather for an unprecedented reading. With roots and long histories in Virginia, R. H. W. Dillard, George Garrett, Henry Taylor, and Ellen Bryant Voigt host a clambake (a poembake) in our own back yard.
