    Quirk Books has announced that Jhanteigh Kupihea has resigned as president and publisher of Quirk Books and will be leaving the company at the end of the year. According to the announcement, Kupihea will taking a sabbatical from publishing, and can be reached at jhanteigh.kupihea@gmail.com.

    With her departure, Quirk founder David Borgenicht is returning as president, effective immediately, and will also serve as interim publisher. Nicole De Jackmo continues in her role as EVP and deputy publisher.

    Kupihea joined Quirk in 2018 as editorial director, and was promoted to publisher in 2021 following the resignation of Brett Cohen. She later added the role of president.

    Quirk was founded in 2002 by Borgenicht to leverage the success of the bestseller The Worst-Case Scenario Handbook. The company continues to publish unconventional books for adults and children, including Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Pride & Prejudice & Zombies.
