Biography: Bishop Ted G. Thomas, Sr.
Bishop Ted G. Thomas, Sr. was born to Elder & Mrs. Simeul Thomas on October 19, 1935 in Raeford, North Carolina. From birth, God anointed Bishop Thomas to set the captives free. Born & raised in the Church of God in Christ, his foundation was sure and his course was set, Bishop Thomas would pioneer the gospel of Jesus Christ in years to come.
Bishop Thomas furthered his education & received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Norfolk State University, a Masters of Science degree in Mathematics from the Hampton Institute & a Doctorate of Divinity degree from Trinity Hall College. He also has additional education from the Moody Bible Institute, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia & the William and Mary College.
In moving into the calling God placed on Bishop Thomas, he was licensed to preach in 1959. He served as the Associate Pastor at Clifton Tabernacle COGIC in Portsmouth, Virginia for a number of years.
