Acoustic soul singer and songwriting sensation Adil Memon is back in the spotlight with catchy new single Official. Co-written by the platinum selling British artist Newton Faulkner, Official was released via Social Family Records.

A finalist on the 2012 series of hit TV show The X Factor, 19 year-old Adil won legions of female fans with his boyish good looks and heartfelt vocals. Official, Adil's second single, blends Faulkner's distinctively laidback acoustic style with an upbeat injection of pop. A sound Adil can't wait to share with fans.

'Newton Faulkner is one of my biggest influences, I was speechless when I first heard the song as he's been an idol of mine since Dream Catch Me. He's the main reason I changed from playing electric guitar to acoustic," said Adil.

Adil independently released his debut single Love I Can Afford, in February 2013, a soulful acoustic track that reached the top 30 on the iTunes singles chart. He is currently working on an EP to be released later this year, a compilation of acoustic songs he has written over the past four years.

Born in the UK and raised in Ipswich south-west of Brisbane, Adil grew up in a musical family, singing with his sister and learning to play saxophone, guitar and violin. He
